Keeping Restoration Dollars Local

The Friends of Plum and Pilot Islands (FOPPI) works with many vendors and contractors to fulfill our mission to support the preservation, restoration, maintenance, and contemporary use of the historic resources on Plum and Pilot Islands, and conserve and protect wildlife resources, while providing opportunities for quality wildlife-dependent recreation.

Last week, FOPPI President Mary Beth Volmer visited Chad Moore and his team from Moore Quality Exteriors to discuss potential roofing options for the Plum Island boathouse restoration project.  Volmer was delighted, and impressed, to see framed press releases on their wall showcasing the pride that they have in working with FOPPI and the US Fish & Wildlife Service.

Moore has worked with us on the Pilot Island lighthouse roof, gutters and tower underlayment. (Photos below)

Collaborating with vendors and contractors by building relationships like this helps us both to grow and innovate.  We learn from one another, share knowledge, challenges, solutions and successes.

We are proud to consider Moore Quality Exteriors as a FOPPI Friend!
