Death's Door Lighthouse Cruise (With Stop on Plum Island)
This classic Death's Door boat tour begins with stunning views of the bluffs the western coast of the Northern Door Peninsula (Nor'Door) is known for. Motoring across the infamous "Death's Door Passage" amongst other boats and ferries, you will see tiny Pilot Island and her lighthouse up close. Motoring back west, you will approach Plum Island and motor around it before docking for a chance to explore some of the 312-acre island. Plum Island is a part of the Green Bay National Wildlife Refuge, and is also home to a decommissioned Coast Guard rescue facility and a lighthouse complex.
Keep your eyes peeled as you depart Plum Island for your return to Gills Rock - you're likely to catch a glimpse of a shipwreck in the water!

We are excited to offer regularly scheduled Death's Door Lighthouse Cruises, as well as numerous private tour options - including trips to Rock Island State Park, the ghost town at Fayette, Michigan, and past the ruins of the Poverty Island Lighthouse and the St. Martin Island Lighthouse.
Cruise proceeds are applied toward Historic Preservation and Restoration projects on Plum and Pilot Islands.
Cruises depart from Gills Rock or other locations as arranged.
