Birding: 101 - Field Day

ALL PROCEEDS FROM OUR EVENTS, WORKSHOPS, & CRUISES SUPPORT OUR HISTORIC PRESERVATION MISSION.

YOU can help play a part in saving the historic maritime structures on Plum and Pilot Islands!

Travel to Plum Island and learn to identify birds of our area with an expert guide

Ever hear a bird song and wonder what type of a bird it is?

Ever see a bird in flight and wonder if it’s a hawk, vulture or eagle?

Ever wonder what type of birds frequent Door County during their annual migration?

If the answer is ‘yes’ to any of these, or if you have any birding questions, come to Plum Island!  Dan Scheiman from The Ridges Sanctuary will help answer your questions and guide us on a birding hike.

Binoculars will be provided, but feel free to bring your own!
